Free Printable Letter to Santa

It’s that time of the year again! Fairy lights, holiday wreaths, stockings, presents and carols, it’s no secret that I am a big sucker for the holiday season. I enjoy all the decorating, shopping, wrapping gifts, family dinners and the never ending get-togethers.

Christmas is even more special when I see its magic through the eyes of my little girl. At five years old, Zoë is pretty wise for her age. You can no longer trick her into doing something she doesn’t want to, but talk about Christmas, the elves and Santa Claus, and she’s all ears. We started writing letters to Santa when she turned three, and since then it has become a tradition that she genuinely looks forward to every December.

I’m sharing the joy of writing letters to Santa by making the template I made printable and free for download.

DIY: Rainbow Pasta

My little girl enjoys arts and crafts as much as I do. She loves working and getting lost in her own creativity, and as young as five, she is starting to love all the different materials and ephemera one can use to make. It was cute for a while, but now I find her going through my embellishments and craft stash to find treasures for her own artworks. Not so nice, especially when I discover trinkets that I’ve been saving for my own art, scattered all over the floor, and some even glued to her masterpieces. I figured it was time to start gathering more supplies for her own crafts.

Now, why buy materials when you can make some using ingredients you already have at home, right? The other day, we did some making to be able to make some more crafts. We made some rainbow pasta!

Want to learn how to make some with your little ones, too? They are fun and easy to make, I decided to share how we made them below.

An Invitation To Create

The previous week, Zoë had a huge meltdown. It was gymnastic’s day, and ever since we enrolled her in the class to keep her preoccupied during her school break, the tantrums have been crazier. It was a battle between dealing with the arguing and endless crying, or give in and let her have her way.  I did what every sane mother would do; chose the easiest way out and stayed home, of course.

When staying home with a high-energy girl, I always have to be prepared with activities to keep her busy. My go-to, full-proof diversion to keep her happy and engaged? Setting up an Invitation to Create!

Cotton Ball Lamb

Having a four-year-old who refuses to take afternoon naps, means constantly finding ways to keep her busy. All the whining and restlessness starts when she gets bored, so I make sure to always have some easy craft activities for her to do.

This Cotton Ball Lamb idea actually came to mind one afternoon last year, after I found Zoë emptying out an entire pack of cotton balls onto the floor. Instead of trashing them in the bin, we decided to use them for some fun crafting.
